Her clients have included organizations such as Amazon, Nordstrom, Riot Games, Kaiser Permanente, Arizona State University, the State Bar of California, Los Angeles Unified School District, and numerous nonprofits, schools, and entrepreneurial ventures.

Before launching her consulting practice in 2018, Desiree worked in higher education administration at Princeton University, nonprofit management, people and business strategy at Brooks Running, and talent acquisition and executive search, where she helped launch the recruiting and placement division of uniquelyHR (now Reverb), serving Seattle’s growing technology sector.

Desiree holds dual bachelor’s degrees in Art and American Studies from Yale University, an MBA with Honors from Seattle University, a Certificate in Evidence-Based Coaching from Fielding Graduate University, and a Ph.D. in Organizational Development and Change from Fielding. Her doctoral research explored how public elementary educators experience the implementation of social and emotional learning (SEL), revealing broader insights into leadership, organizational change, and the critical role of middle managers in successful transformation.

She serves as Host of the Emotional Intelligence Special Interest Group and Co-Host of the Executive Coaching Special Interest Group for the International Coaching Federation Los Angeles Chapter and previously served on the Board of the ICF Washington State Chapter. She is a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) through the International Coaching Federation and teaches graduate courses in leadership and management at Seattle University.

Outside of her professional work, Desiree is an avid runner and swimmer, a lifelong learner, and the proud mother of Ben, Will, and Sally, who continually remind her that some of the greatest lessons in emotional intelligence are learned long before adulthood.
